An Advent calendar you make yourself, in eight short videos
Advent App is a digital Advent calendar: 24 doors you fill with your own photos, videos, voice messages and letters, sent to one person with a link. This is what making one looks like.
Create a calendar
Tap +, type the name of the person it's for, swipe through the designs and pick one, choose a cover photo. The calendar exists — 24 empty doors.
Fill a door with a photo
Tap any door, choose Photo, pick one from your library. You can crop it, add a filter or draw on it, then save. The door shows the photo on your grid.
Add a video
Choose Video, pick a clip, trim it to the part you want (up to 60 seconds) and confirm. The app prepares it for the recipient's phone.
Record a voice message
Choose Audio, tap the microphone, say what you want to say (up to 90 seconds), listen back, save. Often the door people replay.
Write a letter
Choose Text, write a few lines on the letter paper, save. Short is fine — a door only needs to hold one thought.
Fill many doors at once
From the calendar menu, choose Multi-select photos, pick a handful from your library and they drop into the next empty doors, one photo per door.
Add a GIF
Choose GIF, search Giphy, tap the one that made you smile. Some doors are meant to be funny.
Preview it as the recipient
From the menu, choose Preview to see the calendar the way they will: their design, their closed doors, opening one a day from December 1st.
Then: send it
When the doors you want are filled (they don't all have to be — you can add more until December 23rd), tap Send calendar, confirm your name and share the link. The recipient installs the free app, taps the link, and from December 1st one door opens every morning.
