Frequently asked questions

Does the recipient need to install the app?

No. Calendars open in any modern browser, on phone, tablet or computer. The app gives the sender extra creation tools and the receiver a smoother experience, but the link works without it.

Is Advent App free?

Yes — creating, sending and receiving calendars is completely free. The recipient watches a short rewarded ad before opening each door. If you would rather they didn't, a one-time in-app purchase removes ads entirely.

Can I open doors before December?

By default the calendar respects the calendar — door 14 opens on December 14th, etc. As the sender you can preview your own calendar at any time before publishing.

Can I send the same calendar to several people?

Yes. The "Duplicate calendar" option in the menu makes a copy you can re-send under a different name without rebuilding.

Can I edit a calendar after I've sent it?

Yes — until each door's open day. After a door has been opened by the recipient, the content for that day is locked.

Will the calendar still work next year?

You can duplicate it for next December and re-send. Calendars are tied to a year, so the same one won't reopen automatically.
